Papa Pancho da Dhaba, Bandra

One of my friend suggested me to visit this place, as they were ordering food regularly from Papa Pancho da Dhaba and as per her the taste was worth a try. So just to go by her words, i agreed to visit this place. But this time I was completely sure that just like the past if she repeats to end up eating crazy stuff. Am surely going to kill her !. Somehow with the help of maps we reached the location. We bookmarked all the restaurants that came on the way as a backup plan. As some of you might know that the IT guys never forget to have backups before experimenting anything new 😉

So moving towards the ambiance, I would say you can actually experience some glimpses of traditional Punjabi dhaba. Right from the wall decors to the cutleries relates to the ethnic Punjabi style. It’s like having traditional Punjabi food in the heart of the City. The staff who were polite and were dressed in common ethnic style which looked decent enough.

We tried few starters in both Veg and Non Veg which i would say were decent enough. Achari Paneer was soft and marinated with a background taste of achaar (pickle). Chicken tandoori were nicely grilled in tandoor with minimum selective pieces. So we felt a pinch at the quantity side based on the price. The next dish we ordered was something that we cannot missed being at a Punjabi Dhaba. Yes, we ordered the famous Aloo da Paratha and Chicken Paratha (Being a Chickenatarian, so can’t help it) along with Chaas. I would say the extra bowl of Makhan was like a brownie point for us. We enjoyed the amazing combination of Makhan – Paratha – Dahi. After this main course and being a Non Vegetarian my love for the Veg food took one more step ahead. I mean come on guys, Veg can be tastier too. Finally dinner is never complete without a desert, so we ordered a plate of Gulab Jamun though our stomach were almost bloating. But if it’s about desert, then there’s always some reserved space quota in your stomach. I must say guys, the warm Gulab Jamun served concluded our dinner very well. So finally my friend got a good appreciation for at least doing something correct in her life.

Food Tasted:

  1. Paneer Achari Tikka
  2. Tandoori Chicken
  3. Aloo da Paratha
  4. Chicken Paratha
  5. Chaas
  6. Gulab Jamun
Approximately it costed us around 1500 Rs. for 2 person.
